Kindness

For my mountains shall depart, & the hills be removed;  but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee…Isaiah 54:10

We all know what kindness is & I do believe that for the most part we try to be kind.  Sure we have our moments, but we’re only human, right.

But what does it mean when people say, that God is kind?

Once we compare what the world says about kindness & what God says that kindness is…Hallelujah!  We learn that the world is sorta aligned with God!  With one HUGE difference!

What is that difference?  God isn’t human!

Hear me out…As humans there are times when we don’t “feel” like showing kindness.  Sure, we even feel justified, especially if we’re having a bad day, the person has done us wrong, or even by thinking that you’re not outgoing towards strangers or shy.

But God says, His Kindness…SHALL NOT depart!  Those two little words hold so much power.  They are firm…They are permanent…& they mean business!  As humans when we hear the words Shall Not!  We stop in our tracks, we don’t just listen…we listen intently. We know that when phrases like this are said…They mean business & we are to heed to the words that follow.

I don’t know about y’all, but the words that follow…

Bring me so much joy!

God, our father & the creator of the universe has promised that He will always be our friend, He will always be generous, & He will always be considerate towards us…humans!  He’s even gone on to say that His peace will not be removed from us!  By using the words Shall Not, He is commanding His Kindness to ALWAYS be with us.

Check out Deuteronomy 28:`1-14 for a glimpse of His kindness.  You might be thinking, that’s Old Testament stuff…Well, Paul says, in Ephesians 3:6 that we too are heirs to the promise.

I encourage y’all to go to your Bible’s concordance & look up all the Word has to say about God’s kindness towards us.  I’m certain it will have you shouting praises too🕊
